Wow oh Wow this was the first novel that Ive read by the author. I started this it two nights ago and was reluctant to put it down when I had to in order to sleep lol. The author had my attention and adrenalin pumped from page one. I wish the ending had of been longer, but at 300+ pages Of pure excitement Im not complaining : ). I enjoyed reading about the growing love between Artest and Jordan. If you're looking for or love excitement, greek mythology, paranormal, mystery, exotic places, thriller, and a beautiful love story this this is the book for you!Product details

Love this series and I hope the author continues this series.
I really thought this was a superb novel containing romance and adventure combined with sociological aspects of African culture . Such an interesting story! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
I liked this story, I really did, until the ending.
I think the epilogue was completely unnecessary and kinda came out of left field.

The marriage at the end was too rushed and really didn't flow with the pace of the book. The pace was very slow between the two mains and that was totally a good thing. But then they got married, huh? It's like a Tyler Perry movie when he just slaps a wedding on the end to tie everything up neatly with a pretty bow, even when it doesn't make the most sense.
I believe the author (whose writing I do enjoy, don't misunderstand) is creating a series for this, well, to me, that would be the time to write more about Jordan and Artest's relationship evolving into a possible marriage. Not at the end of the first book just because that's the happy ending.
I'm glad there will be more to come, because this story only really just got started.
Also, the one thing that needs to be reviewed carefully for the next books are the switching between 1st and 3rd person perspectives, sometimes the author would mistakenly write, 'he looked at me' instead of 'he looked at her,' in a couple of different places where it wasn't the character's thoughts, so this totally throws the reader.
Anyhoo, I do look forward to more and I hope the stories are written at a natural pace that flows and evolves as the story continues to unfold.
I am a person who loves romance and hot sex but there were no hot involved. It was an interesting story but was not for me.
Love IR romance with a touch of SciFi. However, I didn't get lost in this story and feel for the characters. I stopped reading it midway because it didn't hold me. It just wasn't my cup of tea

Scented Lust by Jacqueline Turner Banks is an interesting novel with an intricate plot and characters that are out of this world yet very down to earth. There's a rich attention to detail which helps the reader in painting a picture of this unusual plot. The characters are all beautiful, well developed and three-dimensional. Scented Lust is not your typical contemporary love story but a paranormal romance that features an interracial couple. Quite a bit of writing is devoted to plot development and it truly makes for an entertaining read. I enjoyed reading this novel because although the plot is rather unbelievable the story is delivered in a well-written and entertaining manner.
Straight-laced, school teacher, Jordan Greene has never indulged in a one night stand before but when she does it becomes a night of many firsts. It seems the handsome stranger she bedded, Artest Drame, is way more than meets the eye. Jordan soon finds herself caught up in a mythical world where vampires are real and Olympian-like gods walk the earth in mortal form. Much of what happens in the story is really incredible but the passion between Jordan and Artest is very believable. Jordan must remain at Artest's side for her own protection but as they draw closer, will they be able to pull apart once the danger has dissipated.

Jordan is a great character; she seems like a real person. Artest seems a little too good to be true, but then don't all the heroes of our favorite books? While the story did remind me a little bit of something else I've read, it was different enough that it was still an enjoyable read with great action, if you know what I mean
This is a great read starting at the first word. Never a dull moment. I saw a review about,scented dreams, which I have now purchased. The group that are saving humans are based out of Africa but they are not really African Americans. They have the ability to fit in with there enviroment.
Don't pass it up because you don't think it qualifies as an IR book. It's well worth the adventure and I love IR romance but I also love an interesting book full of action love and new beings.
If nothing else get a sample if you are a kindle reader as I am. I promise you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to read about Ian but I would love to read a story about PALE FOX!
